Vriende is vol Verrassings.

Vriende kan Vertrou word.

Vriende is nie Vals nie.

n Ware vriend kan nie Vervang word nie.

Sonder vriende is daar nie juis Vreugde.

Om jou Vriende te Vertroetel, is n Voorreg.

God’s 26 Guards Here’s a message that will bring you chills.. Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and Then just put it on a list and said, ‘I’ll pray for them later’? Or has anyone ever called you and said, ‘I need you to pray for me, I have this need?’ Read the following story that was sent to me and May it change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way you pray.  You will be blessed by this…. A missionary on furlough told this true story while Visiting his home church in Michigan . ‘While serving at a small field hospital in Africa , Every two weeks I travelled by bicycle Through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies.. This was a journey of two days and Required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city Where I planned to collect money from a bank, Purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin My two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, One of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time Talked to him about the Lord. I then travelled two days, camping overnight, and Arrived home without incident…. Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated.. He told me that he had known I carried Money and medicines. He said, ‘Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle, Knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, We saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards. At this, I laughed and said that I was Certainly all alone in that jungle campsite.. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, ‘No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, My friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that We were afraid and left you alone.’ At this point in the sermon, One of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and The man who interrupted told him this story: ‘On the night of your incident in Africa , It was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here In the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?’ The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn’t concerned with whom they were, He was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26.   This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of those who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it, you don’t know what it can mean to that person.. Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, We can turn this world toward God once again.. As the above true story clearly illustrates, ‘With God all things are possible’. More importantly, how God hears and Answers the prayers of the faithful. After you read this, please pass it on and Give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, For the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life… And then pass it on. Who says God does not move on the earth today? I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today. To guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him our cares you know He will see us through. So when the road you’re travelling on seems difficult at best, Just remember I’m here praying, and God will do the rest. My Shoes

Thank God for my shoes – they fit.

I woke up one morning and I realised that there were many things about my life I was not satisfied with or better still, there were challenges that were threatening my soul.

And I said to myself, Why should anyone envy me and want to be in my shoes. They don’t know how far I’ve come, they don’t know what lies ahead of me, and neither do they know how dissatisfied I get with myself from time to time.

People don’t know the troubles that you’ve had or the price you had to pay to get where you are. All they want to know is that they wish they were like you.

Why should you wish you were in anybody’s shoes when you hardly know how they fit?

When you’ve worn your shoes for a while, they take the shape of your feet and align to the way you walk. If you were to wear my shoes, you will not be comfortable in them.

So I stopped wishing that I am in someone else shoes because it might not fit; rather I thank God for my shoes, because they fit!

God is nie haastig nie

Haastigheid is ‘n menslike eienskap, nie ‘n Goddelike een nie. Ek verwys na gejaagdheid of “hurriedness”. God het altyd tyd. Hy is nooit haastig onderweg na ‘n volgende afspraak toe nie. Hy is rustig. Kyk maar na Jesus se aardse lewe. Hy het altyd tyd gehad, selfs in die aangesig van die dood. Toe Jesus se vriend Lasarus daar in Johannes 11 gesterf het, was Hy steeds betyds! Hy vra dat ons ook ons haastige, hoë-oktaan harte sal inruil vir rustiger harte.

 

Ons moet die waagmoed hê om elke dag ‘n wyle saam met God in sy tuin te kom wandel. Ons moet sy tuin laat herleef hier buite die hekke van die paradys. God het nog soveel geheime wat Hy hier met ons wil deel; soveel nuwe vreugdes. Maar dan moet ons ingryp op ons gejaagde lewe. Hoe? Wel, ons moet by die Here medisyne kom haal vir daardie gejaagdheid-siekte waaraan ons ly. Dis ‘n siekte wat ons ganse bestaan vergiftig. Gejaagdheid steel al ons vreugde. Dit beroof ons van ons geliefdes en van almal wat saakmaak in ons lewe. Vir wat? Net sodat ons kan sê ons is die jongste wenners van die rotteresies-wisseltrofee hier in 2009?

Ek het eenmaal die verhaaltjie gelees van twee monnikke wat iewers heen op reis was. By ‘n rivier het hulle ‘n vrou raakgeloop wat nie self deur die vinnig vloeiende rivier kon kom nie. Die eerste monnik het geweier om haar te help omdat dit teen hulle priesterorde se reëls was om aan ‘n vrou te raak. Die ander monnik het dadelik aangebied om die vrou op sy skouers deur die gevaarlike rivier te dra. Na die tyd het die tweede monnik ure lank met hom geraas oor sy “skokkende” oortreding van hulle streng reëls. “Ek verstaan nie jou ongelukkigheid nie,” het die hulpvaardige monnik uiteindelik geantwoord. “Ek het die vrou reeds ure gelede neergesit, maar jy dra haar nogsteeds.” Hoe waar! Ons kry ander mense nie so maklik van ons eie skouers af nie, veral nie daardie mense wat ons eie godsdienstige reëls oortree nie.

 

Laat staan ‘n slag jou vooropgestelde opinies oor ander se doen en late. Jy kan nie hulle lewens namens hulle leef nie. Nog minder kan jy jou godsdienstige sienings ongevraagd op hulle van toepassing maak. Eers wanneer jy die moed het om egte verhoudings met hulle te bou verdien jy die reg om met hulle te praat oor die Here.

 

Dalk is vandag presies die regte tyd om al jou opinies oor ander mense, en jou stil woede oor alles wat verkeerd is in die lewe, iewers neer te sit… nee, om dit af te laai op die skouers van Een wat sterker is. Vir ingeval jy dalk gewonder het wie dit is: Christus is sy Naam! Dan gaan jy ander se laste veel makliker namens hulle dra, selfs al bots dit met jou godsdienstige reëls!

 

Gebed

 

Heer, daar’s so baie mense rondom my wat anders dink, leef en doen as ek
Help my om hulle deur U oë te bekyk
En om op nuwe maniere lief te raak vir hulle…
So lief dat hulle seer en swaar ook sal plek kry op my skouers
Maak my skouers breër en sterker ter wille van hulle
In Jesus se Naam
