Life is so short

So, think what is good,

Speak what is kind,

and try to live your best,

Then this world will be bright and beautiful to you

When money is lost nothing is lost,

When health is lost something is lost,

When caracter is lost everything is lost.

Live like a candle

which burns itself,

But gives light to others.

Impose your own terms upon life,

If you don’t you will have to accept the terms of others.

Look backwards with gratitude,

upwards with confidence

and forward with hope.

When you truly care for someone,

you don’t look for faults,

you don’t look for answers,

you don’t look for mistakes,

instead you fight the mistakes,

you accept the faults,

and you overlooks the excuses.

HAVE A STUNNING DAY !!!!

ELKE VROU

DRAWING CONCLUSIONS
————————
An old man was sitting with his 25 year old son in the train. The train was about to leave the station. All passengers are settling down in their seat.

As the train started, the young man was filled with lots of joy and curiosity. He was sitting on the window side.

He put out one hand and feeling the passing air, he shouted, “Papa see all the trees are going behind”. the old man smiled and admired his sons’ feelings.

Besides the young man was one couple, sitting and listening to all the conversation between father and son. They were little awkward with the attitude of the 25 year old behaving like a small child.

Suddenly the young man again shouted, “Papa see the pond and animals. Clouds are moving with the train”.

The couple was watching the young man embarrassingly. Now it started raining and some of the water drops touched the young man’s hand. He was filled with joy and he closed his eyes. He shouted again,” Papa it’s raining, the water is touching me, see papa”.

The couple couldn’t help themselves and asked the old man. “Why don’t you visit the Doctor and get treatment for your son.”

The old man said, “Yes, We are coming from the hospital today, my son got his eye sight for first time in his life.”

Moral: “Do not draw conclusions until you know all the facts.”

I will never look at a deck of cards the same again. Will you ??Please read all the way thru, it is beautiful

Here is a new way to look at a deck of cards!!
Please do not delete! You will be glad you didn’t.

Deck of Cards

It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn’t been heard.

The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.

As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.

Just then an army sergeant came in and said, ‘Why aren’t you with the rest of the platoon?’

The soldier replied, ‘I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord.’

The sergeant said, ‘Looks to me like you’re going to play cards.’

The soldier said, ‘No, sir. You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country,

I’ve decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards.’

The sergeant asked in disbelief, ‘How will you do that?’

‘You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God.

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments

The Three represents the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Ma tthew, Ma rk, Luke and John .

The Five is for the five virgins there were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives — the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God’s first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Ma ry.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year..

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week – 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards — there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for.’

The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, ‘Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?’

Please keep the wheel rolling. It will only take a few seconds of your time, but it’ll be worth it to read on….

Lord, hold us in your loving hands.

Protect us.

Bless us and our families

I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Amen

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our servicemen and women all around the world.

There is nothing attached, but this can be very powerful.

Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier, prayer is the very best one.

Do not stop the wheel, please — just send this on.

Salty Coffee: An amazing Love Story

He met her at a party. She was so beautiful, many guys were chasing after her, while he was so plain and simple, nobody paid attention to him.

At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but to be polite, she consented. They went to a nice
coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home…. suddenly he asked the waiter.

‘would you please give me some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee.’

Everybody stared at him, How strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.
She asked him curiously; why you have salt in your coffee? He replied: ‘when I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who still live there’. While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That’s his true feelings, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can share his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has ties to his home.

Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that he was actually a man who meets all her demands; he had
tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed knowing him! Thanks to his salty coffee!

The story ended just like every beautiful love
story , the princess married the prince, then they lived happily ever after… And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some
salt in it, as she knew that’s the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: ‘My dearest, please forgive me, I have been lying my whole life. This was the only lie I told you—the salty coffee.

Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change it, so I just went ahead.I never thought that could be the start of our conversation! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you about anything. Now I’m dying, I’m afraid of nothing so I can tell you the truth: I don’t like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life!

Since I met you, I don’t ever feel sorry for everything I did for you. ‘ Having you with me is the biggest thrill of my whole life. If I can live a second time around, I would still want to know you and have you for the rest of my life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again’.
Her tears made the letter totally wet. One day, someone asked her: how did the salty coffee taste? It was very sweet, she replied.
Love is not to forget but to forgive, not to see but to understand, not to hear but to listen, not to let go but to HOLD ON !!!!

Don’t ever leave the one you love for the one you like, because the one you like will leave you for the one they love
Forget the things that make you sad …. Remember the things that make you glad.
