God is nie haastig nie

Posted: Oktober 29, 2009 in Uncategorized

god 1Haastigheid is ‘n menslike eienskap, nie ‘n Goddelike een nie. Ek verwys na gejaagdheid of “hurriedness”. God het altyd tyd. Hy is nooit haastig onderweg na ‘n volgende afspraak toe nie. Hy is rustig.

Hoe?

Gebed

river 5Heer, daar’s so baie mense rondom my wat anders dink, leef en doen as ek
Help my om hulle deur U oë te bekyk
En om op nuwe maniere lief te raak vir hulle…
So lief dat hulle seer en swaar ook sal plek kry op my skouers
Maak my skouers breër en sterker ter wille van hulle
In Jesus se Naam

Amen

How much does a miracle cost?

Posted: Oktober 23, 2009 in Uncategorized

miracle 1a Little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully.

Three times, even The total had to be exactly perfect. No change here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall’s Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

And what do you want? the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. I’m talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven’t seen in ages, he said without waiting for a reply to his question.

miracle 2Well, I want to talk to you about my brother, Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. He’s really, really sick … and I want to buy a miracle.

I beg your pardon? said the pharmacist.

His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?

We don’t sell miracles here, little girl. I’m sorry but I can’t help you the pharmacist said, softening a little.

Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn’t enough, I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it cost.

The pharmacist’s brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl “What kind of a miracle does your brother need?

I don’t know, Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he’s really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can’t pay for it, so I want to use my money.

How much do you have? asked the man from Chicago?

miracle 3One dollar and eleven cents, Tess answered barely audibly.

And it’s all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to.

Well, what a coincidence, smiled the man. A dollar and eleven cents – the exact price for a miracle for little brothers.

He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said, Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let’s see if I have the miracle you need.

That well dressed man was Dr. Carlton Amstrong, a surgeon, specialized in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn’t long until Andrew was home again doing well.

Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to his place.

That surgery, Her Mom whispered, was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?

Tess smiled, She knew exactly how much a miracle cost…one dollar and eleven cents…plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law. I know you’ll keep the ball moving!

Here it goes. Throw it back to someone who means something to you!

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end. It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends. But the treasure inside for you to see is the treasure of friendship you’ve granted to me.

miracle 4Today I pass the frienship ball to you.

Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.

MY OATH TO YOU….

When you are sad…I will dry your tears.

When you are scared…I will comfort your fears.

When you are worried…I will give you hope.

When you are confused…I will help you cope.

And when you are lost…And can’t see the light, I shall be your beacon…Shining ever so bright.

miracle 5This is my oath…I pledge till the end.

Why you may ask?….Because you’re my child.

Signed: GOD

CANDLE 2Life is so short.

So, Think what is good,

speak what is kind,

and try to live your best,

Then this world will be bright and beautiful to you.

When money is lost nothing is lost.

When health is lost something is lost.

When character is lost everything is lost.

CANDLE 1Live like a candle,

Which burns itself,

But gives light to others.

Impose your own terms upon life.

If you don’t you will have to accept the terms of others.

Look backwards with gratitude,

upwards with confidence and forward with hope.

When you truly care for someone,

you don’t look for faults,

you don’t look for answers,

you don’t look for mistakes,

Instead you fight the mistakes,

CANDLE 3You accept the faults,

And you overlooks the excuses.

HAVE A STUNNING DAY!!!

Prayer

pray angelPRAY THIS EVEN IF YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE IT!  IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE.

You never know when God is going to bless you!  Good things happen when

you least expect them to!

Dear Lord,

I thank You for this day.  I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.  I’m blessed because  You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.  You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness.  Please keep me safe from all danger

and

harm.  Help me to start this day with a  new attitude and plenty of

gratitude.  Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind

so

that I can  hear from You.  Please broaden my mind that I can accept all

things that are of you.  Let me not whine and  whimper over things I

have no

control over.  And it is the best response when I’m pushed beyond my

limits.

I  know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart.  Continue to use

me

to do Your will.  Continue to bless me  that I may be a blessing to

others.

Keep me strong that I may help the weak .  Keep me uplifted that I may

have

words of encouragement for others.  I pray for those that are lost and

can’t

find their way.  I pray for those  that are misjudged and misunderstood.

I

pray for those who don’t know You intimately.  I pray for those that

will

delete this without sharing it with others.  I pray for those that don’t

believe.

I thank you that I believe.  I believe that God changes people and God

changes things.  I pray for all my  sisters and brothers, and for each

and

every family member in their households.  I pray for peace, love and joy

in

their homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this

knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.

Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.   I pray that these

words be received into the hearts of every  eye that sees it.

If you prayed this prayer, please change the number in the subject box

before forwarding the message so people

can see how many people have done so.  God Bless!!!   Just repeat this

phrase and see how God moves!

 God,

I love you and I need you, come into my heart , please.

Garbage Bags ….

garbage bag 1A little old lady was walking down the street dragging two large plastic
garbage bags behind her.

One of the bags rips, and every once in a while a $20 bill falls out onto
the sidewalk.

Noticing this, a policeman stops her, and says, “Ma’am, there are $20 bills
falling out of your bag.”

“Oh, really? Darn!” said the little old lady. “I’d better go back and see if
I can find them. Thanks for telling me.”

“Well, now, not so fast,” says the cop. “How did you get all that money?
“You didn’t steal it, did you?”

“Oh, no”, said the little old lady.

fence 1“You see, my back yard is right next to the football stadium parking lot. On
game days, a lot of fans come and pee through the fence into my flower
garden.

“So, I stand behind the fence with my hedge clippers. Each time some guy
sticks his thing through the fence, I grab it and say, ‘$20 or off it
comes’.”

“Well, that seems only fair” laughs the cop. “OK. Good luck! Oh, by the way,
what’s in the other bag?”

“Well, you know, not everybody pays.”
